Waiting to be Born

So, I've been going through a lot lately. Basically, alot of my hope for good in the hearts of my fellow people has failed. I just... I dunno. Anyway, to celebrate this whole brand NEW dark outlook on life, I was listening to my MP3 player and up comes the song "Vicarious" by Tool. I'm listening and one particular set of lyrics just hits me like a freight train.

"Credulous, at best,
your desire to believe in
Angels in the Hearts of Man"

...Well, earlier that day, I'd learned a bit more about Sumerian Cuneiform and got a good look at some of their wording and it inspired me to do this piece... maybe like some form of demonic Sumerian God, cruel and monsterous, waiting to be born from the darkness... to be given just enough life to come to be.


It's waiting to be born... all it needs a bit more time and a little more of you.
